Atlanta BeltLine Inc, awards next phase to 2MNEXT, The Eastside Trail Southern Extension

2MNEXT is pleased to announce the award of the next phase of the Atlanta Beltline project termed The Eastside Trail Southern Extension. The first phase of the extension is under construction! This phase will take the trail from Irwin Street / Lake Avenue to Kirkwood Avenue. Construction began in 2016 and has an estimated completion date of mid-2017. The extension will add about 1.25 miles to the popular multi-use trail. Construction on the second phase, from Kirkwood to Memorial Drive, will include replacing the bridge at Fulton Terrace and will commence when funding becomes available. The Eastside Trail, once the southern extension is completed to Memorial Drive, will be a 3.5-mile trail running from Piedmont Park south to Reynoldstown.
